A Big Mince Pie

You will need:

200g flour

quarter teaspoon salt

100g butter

2 tablespoons cold water

mincemeat

milk and sugar to glaze

 

1.Put the flour and salt in a mixing bowl.Add butter and rub mixture with fingers until it looks like breadcrumbs.

2. Add water and rub into a dough.Take two thirds of dough and roll out.Use a cutter to make circles to put in you cake tins bases and put these pieces into the tins.

3.Put and teaspoon of mincemeat in each.

4.Take the last third of the dough and roll it out.Then cut out circles for the top of the pies with a slightly smaller cutter.

5. Put these cut out circles on top and press the edges together.

6. Brush the tops with milk and sprinkle with caster sugar. Make a couple of slits in each mince pie.

7.Put the mince pies in the oven on 200c/400f/gas mark 6 for 20 mins until golden brown.

8. Leave to cool and then ENJOY!!!
